Sound — 10
sounds really heavy and good. EMG 81s rock but they won't give you good clean sounds but this guitar isn't really meant for that

Overall Impression — 6
I have had this guitar for about a year and a half. It has some really good things about it but the tremolo absolutely sucks. It appears ESP decided to make a great guitar at a good price but equip it with a terrible tremolo. Its actually quite a shame because everything else is pretty good (not perfect but good).

Reliability & Durability — 6
every things reliable and wont break except the tremolo system. It is made of terrible cheap metal, so expect screws to strip, sliders to break, and locking nuts to develop huge grooves

Action, Fit & Finish — 8
action can be set decently low without string buzz, nothing amazing though. Finish was good. I didn't find any flaws. some of the frets where placed to high near the headstock, it wasn't hard to fix but that should have been fixed at the factory.

Features — 7
read other reviews so i don't have to type the information again. if your looking for a metal guitar then you'd be set, unfortunately the licensed Floyd Rose is not very good.

Decent review. For a 401 review I'm suprised it isn't completely smothered in Kirk Hammet fanboyism.
