Sound — 7
The sound is the very common Fender sound, with the bell tone quality. It doesn't naturally have any real grind or hard sound attached to it, but it is fantastic for any classical rock or blues riffs. When distortion is added to the mix, the beauty of the guitar is openly exemplified, performing a pitch perfect sound of blues that every young guitarist looks for. All together a very expandable yet reliable sound.
Overall Impression — 7
A very nice beginner guitar. Never on any guitar, besides the Gibson, have I heard a better blue bell tone. Although the single coil pickups are a little too dry for some styles of harder rock, it overall is just a really well developed guitar. Although it does have some minor flaws, I recommend it to anybody looking for a first or second guitar, when they are strapped for cash.
Reliability & Durability — 7
The durability is fantastic. There is not one scratch on the entire guitar and all together it is just a marvelous build. However there is one problem I am currently experiencing. This problem occurs where the string have to run through at the bottom of the guitar. Although they haven't been too much of an irritation, they do conflict with some styles of music I have attempted to play (classical especially), however besides that one minor flaw it has a very attractive life expectancy (I expect it to last all my life).
Action, Fit & Finish — 7
It has all stuck together very well. It is completed with a rosewood finish for the wood, it is a two piece by the way. The body is painted a darkish red and is shaped perfectly for any leisure guitarist. I haven't really had any problems with the cut or the shape, and no real damage has occurred to the frame since I have purchased it.
Features — 7
It is a pretty recent model, I only bought it about a year ago. My guitar comes with two tone knobs, alternating the pitch in either the bass or the middle, then a volume knob is of course attached. It also came with a whammy bar and insert. The pegs are all on the same side and are very easy for tuning. Unfortunately when replacing strings, the back needs to come off sometimes making it very annoying. There is also an alternating Switch, allowing for easy transition between a bass sound and a more treble sound.
