Sound — 9
I play everything except metal, for which there is no better guitar than a stratocaster. It has a three single coil configuration which doesn't do too well for heavy distortion, but sounds great nonetheless, especially for cleans. I use a Crate gt 65/212 and this axe performs very well. The neck pickup is very rich, perfect for the blues. The middle pick up is great for cleans, and the bridge pickup provides a great treble sound. The only problem with it's sound is if you only use one pickup, then there's gonna be feedback. Nonetheless, this is very versatile, anything from Van Halen, Led Zeppelin to foo fighters will sound great on this guitar, just keep it away from metal. P.S. every guitar is different, some squiers can sound better than american strats. My sunburst Strat has a great tone, and sounds better than my friend's american deluxe ash strat. Also, thicker strings sound alot better than thin strings.

Overall Impression — 10
This guitar is beautiful, sounds great and is extremely good value for money. I have an Epiphone les paul, as well as an Ibanez rg370dx, and i love this one the most.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This has withstood live playing on more than one occasion, the hardware hasn't faded a single bit, i use 11 gauge strings so i dont have to worry about string breakages, no dints, no flaws, half a year ownership and finish is still as beautiful as ever. The finish is quite thick, but not thick enough to dull out the tone

Action, Fit & Finish — 10
The guitar came set up extremely well from the factory. The pickups were a tiny bit too high, but that's just my opinion. No cuts or scrapes, the finish is beautiful, the action is nice and low on a thin neck.

This is a Fender Stratocaster made in 2009 in Mexico, 21 frets, maple neck with ebony fingerboard in a brown sunburst finish. The neck is very thin and allows for blistering solos, in contrast to the Telecaster, which is more of a rhythm guitar. The Standard volume and two tone controls are included, and this is possibly the best guitar for value. One thing which annoyed was that it didn't come with tension springs and a hard case.
