Sound — 10
The sound of this guitar matches it's Vintage look. Even though this guitar is mainly for music like the Who, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin you can get a really nice blues sound out of it, too. It can also do metal, although I would not buy this if youre looking for a hardcore metal guitar. If you set this on clean you get a nice warm tone, good for any kind of music. Greats like Pete Townshend, Angus Young, and Eric Clapton Played this guitar for a reason.
Overall Impression — 10
This is the perfect guitar as far as I am concerned. Anything by Gibson is perfect. It it were stolen, I would definetely buy it again. The Vintage look, feel and sound is what makes the guitar. If you're looking for a great rok n roll guitar and a running a little low on money, this is defetlely the guitar to go for.
Reliability & Durability — 9
This guitar is definetely built to last. It will definetley withstand live play, and it also holds up to being banged around or being dropped. Nothing has happened to the sound or anything, no buzzing from the pickups, loose switches, etc. The strap buttons are more solid than most, but I would reccomend strap locks for any guitar. The only thing about the durability of the guitar if you have a spiked belt or something, it gets scratches an small dents very eaily since the would is rather soft.
Action, Fit & Finish — 10
This guitar was obviously set up with great care. The action is perfect, the controls don't feel loose like there gonna fall off, every lottle detail of the guitar was taken care of very nicely. The only thing that may concern people is that the bridge pick up is raised way high, although I like it that way.
