Usual three pickup configuration (S/S/H) by EMG. Passive volume and tone pot with three individual pickup switches Steinberger licensed tremolo bridge.
It sustains very well with a lovely smooth sound through the neck pickup and the bridge pickup is brilliant for leads. I mainly play classic rock and this suits this genre great.
The knobs lack a bit of tension and the pickup selector is slightly loose in the middle position, but really doesn't bother me. Body has a comfortable fit, slightly heavier than your Epiphones and such, but one hardly notices when in full flight.
Made in 1992 in England, 24 standard frets on maple with a solid and laminated top body is made of maple also. Burntwood finish single cutaway Les Paul copy by Rockwood/Hohner. It has a Tune-O-Matic style bridge in gold finish.
My overall impression of this MR800 is just great. It's an amazing guitar that is WAY too often overlooked in a world full of Ibanezes and Jacksons.
This is NOT a professional-level guitar, but it is a great started guitar for teenagers and other people with narrow fingers and small hands.
It's not for beginners, because it might put you off playing for life, but if your an intermediate to high level player then this guitar really is a bargain if you can be bothered to make a few adjustments to it.
This is a Strat type guitar. Red body, rosewood neck, golden hardware, white pickguard. Classic colors.
