Ibanez: RG370

Price paid: $ 299.97

Purchased from: American Musical Supply

Sound — 8
I use my Ibanez GRX20, Behringer HB01 (wah pedal), Behringer X V-AMP (multi-effects), and my Behringer GM108 amp. The sound is alright for my musical styles, I play a wide range of rock, metal, and a little blues. I would like to change the pickups though, the sound is a missing a lil' "somethin' somethin'", but for the overall sound I give it an 8, because the pickups aren't noisy, and the knobs don't make that annoying scratching sound when they are adjusted.

Overall Impression — 9
Well, I worked all summer to get guitar gear, but unfortunately I had to buy school clothes, so I used what I could to get another guitar, I came across this beast and decided it's what I wanted, and I must say I don't regret this purchase. If this was lost/stolen, I would save the money and buy another Ibanez, unfortunately they don't make the RG370 anymore, they now have the RG370DX, I think I would be happy with that model, since the only differences are the newer model bridge, and I think the pickups are upgraded, it has sharkfin inlays, and the colors are different. I compared it to numerous guitars in it's price range, but since I already owned an Ibanez and knew that their guitars are great for me, I picked this one. The only thing I wish it had was different pickups, even though the ones it comes with are decent.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This guitar is very reliable, just be sure to give it proper care/maintainance and I'm sure you'll enjoy this axe for many years to come. I can't say anything for the strap buttons, when I ordered this guitar I ordered DiMarzio ClipLocks and put them on both of my guitars. The finish on this guitar is a beauty, it hardly shows fingerprints, and I haven't found any scratches, people have commented me on how "pretty" the color (Moonshadow Grey) is.

Action, Fit & Finish — 10
This guitar was pretty well set up, the only problem I had was the bridge, it didn't stay in tune for long, but it just took a little breaking in, then it stayed in tune as locking bridges as these have a reputation for. And also, the neck is very fast. I haven't noticed any flaws on the guitar, and I've had it since the end of June, or beginning of July, roughly 6 months.

Features — 10
This guitar has 24 frets, a rosewood fingerboard, a Wizard II neck, an Edge Pro II tremolo bridge, pickups are H/S/H, I believe they are Powersound pickups, 1 volume knob, 1 tone knob, and a 5-way selector.

All that means is that you do not know what you think you know. If you are playing properly and paying attention to what you do, there is no reason this should happen. Sure, you will take a bit of time to get the feel of the new guitar, but that is the same for everything

Why should you move to fender n e way? Fenders are just a waste of cash. You can get better guitars for less than 1/2 their price.

The comments on this guitar are retarded. It has a nice neck, the humbuckers are ok stock. But i will eventually upgrade them. It is a very pretty guitar. The bridge, stays in tunw for the most part if properly set up. Got it for 360 dollars wich seems over priced compared to other people. Who eve said ibanez sucks your retarded. Who ever said fendwr sucks, you are even more retarded. I like this guitar alot. I traded in my mh 103 for it wich wasnt a bad guitar, but i didnt like the floyd rose on it. The floyd on this guitar seems a bit better, and i learned how to set one up properly to. I suggest taking asvantage of guitar centers one month deal. Especially if your a begginer. I have played guitar for a cpuple years now but theirs no shame in saying you dont know what your looking for. The pick up hsh was the main reason i traded in my mh 103, plus it had active pickups and am hss pup combo. I play a jay turser strat, my favorite guitar, si i thought having a guitar for ketal with 2 single coil pickups was just stupid. T was a good

Learning experience, and i found my rg370 wich i know was what i was lookimg for, because i found what i didnt want in the mh 103. I migh sa the mh 103 had a very nice neck, and idk if the bridge was cheap or nkt i didnt set it up at all so idk. I know the edge 3 on the rg370 seems much nicer though. Id check out both guitars if your into metal or hard rock. The mh is a bit cheaper, but the pickups are active amd sound very muddy, i would have to buy new pickups for that guitar right away.cuz they just.werent good. The rg370qmsp was the right guitar for me and hopefully for many years to come
