Good pickups are not 'Stratty' but are strong and clear and can be replaced easily if desired.
I love it because it is so versatile and has a humongous sound for such an innocent plain looking guitar.

I have been playing for 2-3 years. I own a 20 watt Yamaha amp, Death Metal distortion pad, a Yamaha 10 watt amp, a broken Yamaha EG 112-C, a guitar stand, 3-4 chords, a tuner, tons of picks, and a nice black/flame strap.
Metal, classical, neoclassical, latin, hardcore, whatever. I have played for 2 years on guitar but practice an enormous amount and have played piano for 10 years.
I think that I am still being shaped by this guitar, rather than shaping it.
For the price, this is an awesome guitar.
