Price paid: £ 549

Purchased from: GAK

Features: GAK just got these in stock after nearly a year wait and I had to have one. Offset Solid Maple body, Bolt-on maple neck with 22 fret maple board, Floyd Rose trem and Seymour Duncan JB and JN pickups. Both pups have coil tap accessible from 2 independent push/pull volume knobs both with volume bleed mod. Also has a master tone control and 3 way pickup selector switch. No case included but came with allen keys, lead and a sticker. // 9

Sound: I play mainly '80s/classic rock and wasn't sure bout the JB and JN Seymour Duncan pickups as I haven't used or owned them before. Only had experience with the TB4, TB6 and SH10 and love the tone and response of all of those. I found the same traits present in the JB and JN only they didn't seem quite as hot. Which I suppose is a good thing as I already own guitars with super HOT pups. Also this has a coil tap and when engaged sounds classy and controlled, unlike some tapped pups I've tried. Overall very versatile being able to mix any combination of hb/hb hb/sc sc/sc. // 9

Action, Fit & Finish: Guitar was set up perfectly when it arrived. The action, pup height and intonation were spot on. No marks/imperfections to the finish or neck at all. The neck profile is VERY similar to my MIM Strat but the fingerboard is a little flatter. I have really small hands and this board is excellent. Smooth, fast and a total joy to play. // 10

Reliability & Durability: Kramer is now a division of Gibson and it tells. For a guitar costing 550 the quality is astonishing. Top quality materials, hardware and electronics, beautiful smooth 12" radius fret board and the most stunning finish I have ever seen. Absolutely f--king amazing! // 9

Overall Impression: First I was thinking of buying a Charvel So-Cal or a Jackson Adrian Smith model but decided a holiday was needed much more. Then GAK got these in stock... Oh well there's always next year. // 10
