Sound — 9
I play anything from punk all the way to metal and this guitar covers it all. I run it through a Line 6 Spider II 30 modeling amp and it sounds ferocious. The Duncan Designed humbuckers give out really good distortion. It comes with a push and pull knob for single coil use so you can get a variety of sounds. It gives out a realy nice and thick sound so it sounds extra heavy overdriven. When on clean it sounds like an angel and plays chords like butter. The Grover tuners keep the guitar in tune for a long time. I even snapped a string and it still stayed in tune. My only grudge about it is that when coil use it, it makes a little buzzing sound but I turned on the noise gate on my amp and it was elimenated.

Overall Impression — 10
I have been playing for 2 years now and play anythig from Punk to Metal. This guitar is extremely reliable for live play and just looks beautiful. I love the stripper inlays on the fretboard the coil tap function on the Tone knob. The only thing I hate about this guitar is the thin finsih on it. It could easily get scratched. I also suspect the Duncans Designed will wear on me eventually but I plan on putting in Seymour Duncan SH-8s. The XXX is a good buy compared to other guitars but the only problem is that is out of production. I have a Schecter S1 Standard and the C1 XXX has all the sounds of the S1 and for almost half the price. If this were stolen I'd hunt the guy down and destroy him. The C1 XXX is a prestigious guitar and you can't find in stores anymore so I defenitley take value in it.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This guitar defentley will withstand live playing. The hardware sould last but I expect the Duncans to wear out soon. The strap bottons are solid so it's good for gigging. I'm not sure about how durable it is, but due to the fact that I have another guitar with the same wood quality that is a little scratched up, I suspect that this guitar has a pretty fragile finish. I'm not sure if I would use this guitar without a backup because it has a variety of sounds but then again, anything could happen on stage.

Action, Fit & Finish — 9
I have to admit, this thing wasnt set-up too good whewn I got it. The pickups were too low and the action was set too high so I had to adjust it a lot to get the sound I wanted. There was a little buzz with the pickup selector but I had a noise gate so it gone. Other than that I have no other problem with it. The finsih is just stunning, gloss black on mohgany wood just looks so beautiful. The stripper inlays look so good and add a nice touch to.

My Schecter 0th Anniversary C1 is a 2004 Korean made guitar fully set-up in the United States and is now currently out of production. It has 25.5" ultra access body, mohagany body, a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. There's a beautiful "creme" bing all around the guitar. It is based on Schecter "C" series and looks just like the C1 Blackjack. It features 24 jumbo frets, Tune-O-Matic bridge, Grover tuners, Duncan Designed humbuckers in both neck and bridge position, 2 volumes, 1 tone with a "push and pull" for single coil use on the tone knob. Last but not least it features 9 sexy stripper girl inlays on the fretboard.

yea for some reason the editor put a picture of the 30th anniversery, i told'm it's the wrong pic buit no change sorry about that.
I own this beauty, and I too am pissed that it's out of production! The Duncans !!!!DO!!!! wear out, I can tell you now. I play metal, and only metal, and the cheap Duncans weren't doing it for me. I don't ever use the neck pickup, so I replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker, and let me tell you, the tone is magnificent (it wails like an opera singer and crunches like someone getting curb stomped). Put a nice Duncan pickup in that beast and you will have no more worries mate! :

I own one, and was thinking about dropping EMGs in it, does anybody know if that is possible with the push/pull coil taps. Or should I just go for a passive pickup?
