Sound — 10
It works great playing anything from Ultra hardcore metal to classical pieces. I play as I said before with a Peavey Vypyr 15 which I use as a practice amp coupled with a DigiTech RP50. There is almost never any background noise unless I add it with effects. Is sounds very big and powerful, very rich. It isn't twangy or sharp sounding.

Overall Impression — 10
This guitar is fantastic, I highly recommend it for any playing style. I've been playing for 4 to 5 years and have owned and played many a guitar, but this Schecter definitely tops even a Gibson LP in my book. If someone stole this guitar I would do all I could to either get it back or get another. I have no regrets in buying it at all. It is a magnificent guitar and would buy a second if I had the money.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This guitar will stand just about anything, I've accidentally knocked it off its stand and it landed on the front without any damage at all. The tone and volume knobs are metal and I doubt I could break them in any way no matter how hard I am on them (which I try not to be). The strap pins work great, I haven't had my strap slip off once since I've had it. I would have no problem bring just this guitar to a gig as it is very dependable. I have yet to even scratch the paint on this beauty unlike my LP which scratched within a month so I'm really not worrying about having to repair the finish in any way.

Action, Fit & Finish — 9
The guitar is beautifully built, the pickups are set great, the FR bridge is astonishingly good, the neck is set very well, and the head fantastic.

I bought my used Schecter Damien-FR Diamond Series this past June. It has a beautiful basswood body that was made in the U.S. The maple neck was made in South Korea and plays wonderfully. The 24 Xtra jumbo frets make soloing easy and are rather comfortable to play. The inlays are pearl bats set in a rosewood neck that looks completely awesome with the matte black finish on the body. It comes with a pair of awesome EMG-HZ H4 and H4A pickups which sound amazing through my Peavey Vypyr 15 practice amp and anything else I plug it into. It has Grover tuning machines and a Floyd Rose bridge so tuning is kept at a minimum.

I am not a fan. This has excellent pickups but both the bolt-on neck and the Floyd Rose makes it both the clumsiest and heaviest guitar I have ever played. The paint also easily chips and rubs away. With a better body to go with the fretboard and pickups, this could jbe a quality guitar.

I just bought this guitar on September 6th and I like it. I been wanting a Damien FR for awhile so I wen't for it. I like the bat inlays on the neck, looks awesome. I don't have the guitar yet cause it got shipped out of state but should be in soon. Glad I finally got to get one of these beastly guitars. I play metal and metalcoe and the Schecter Damien FR guitar is perfect for me. Anyway, thanks Schecter for making a awesome guitar! Now make a Damien Avenger and Avenger FR guitar to add to the collection! Would love to see the Avenger in a Damien model. \m/

are those high output pickups and can you get good pinch harmonics on it?

I'm getting a Damien Elite Avenger FR in a few weeks. I will post a review and a video when I actually have the guitar. Its being put in layaway. Schecter did make a Damien Elite Avenger and Avenger FR, they look pretty sweet. They hae the same stuff as the Damien Elites mostly. And I'm still lovin my Damien 6 FR guitar too. Its lasted me forever. Almost needs new strings though is all.
