Sound — 10
The Sound is a great metal guitar. It has great sustain, and is a perfect lead guitar. It also sounds great for a soft sound as well. It has a great range and will play just about any type of music I feal like playing from country, to death metal. It has a nice sound and gets great bass tones.

Overall Impression — 10
I play medal and I love to play Buckethead riffs. It plays like a dream. I've been playing for ruffly 3 years. I play it through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone or a Death Metal Pedal. I would definitly buy this guitar again. I love the fealling of the neck and fret board. I hate the fact though that there is only one pickup.

Reliability & Durability — 9
The guitar has only a couple of delicate spots witch are the head stock and the horn parts that stick out. The hardware is all black crome and will last forever. The strap buttons are very solid. it's very dependable. The finish can really take a beating.

Action, Fit & Finish — 9
The guitar plays is really nice. It a very fast neck and being it's so simplistic it's easly used. it's Very well made it holds tuning forever, the guitar holds up great the neck doesn't bend/twist. it's a amazing axe. The guitar really doesn't have any flaws.

Features — 8
The Schecter devil was made in Korea. I don't know what year it was made. It has 24 jumbo frets with a 25.5 scale. The fret board is ebony and extremely smooth and fast. It has a mohagony nech and body. Its really light weight. It has Tone Pro's locking TOM bridge and a string through tail peice, with EMG 81 active pickups. It only has one pickup near the bridge. It only has a volume knob witch is the only bad thing is the very simplistic features. The Guitar looks amazing with the The Devil Bio graphic.

Very true that It can interfere with the sound, but one pickup doesn't give you as much flexability as two would. Even if it makes the sound different.
Nice guitar i own the devil custom, which i believe is a better buy i paid 649.99 for my devil custom, it has 2 volumes and 1 tone, plus the emg 81/85 pickups.

I like this guitar with its amazing Devil Spine graphics and single EMG pickup, i wanted to buy one but got a lefty Devil Custom in Blood Red Burst instead, i love my devil but would love one of these as well.
The second pickup on the Custom interferes with the sound. While this may sound ludicrous, look at all the posts on what paint does to the sound. How can not cutting a hole in the middle of the soundboard and sticking a piece of metal and plastic not affect the sound. An added bonus is the battery lasts twice as long.
