Sound — 8
The sound on the guitar is quite plain unless you crank it with loads of distortion but its good for mainly rock and punk music but if you set the amp right with less distortion u can play blues without it sounding wrong. But to be truthful you can play anytime of music on the guitar because if your a beginner you wont worry about this unless you get seriously into it. A good tips is to get a Zoom pedal which has 100s of effects and you can buy these of ebay between 20-60 pounds mattering to which model it is, or a pod.
Overall Impression — 9
I like to play rock and blues and this is fine for its as I've already said get a Zoom pedal you'll be sorted for any music. If this guitar got stolen I would look for it because after a couple of years you'll start to get attached to it but I would buy another guitar. If your not going to play forever get this guitar if you'r thinking of sticking with get this guitar for the price you can get it for you can't go wrong.
Reliability & Durability — 9
This guitar is my first guitar and sice I've got it 4 years ago its been fine no problems apart from sum scratches, and string are quite strong I used to play really rough on the guitar and only after 3 years 1 string snapped. Amazing !!! But really nothing to worry about it can take anything and it wont get damaged to easily if you drop the guitar or anything.
Action, Fit & Finish — 9
Eventhough this is a cheap guitar the action is really good nothing wrong with the setup it is fine the only problem is that it gets scracthed easily but can't see it to much on the gloss and alot of dust gets picked up inbetween pick ups but nothing a cloth wont fix

The Yamaha ere 121 is a great starter guitar and also is a Strat copy. The guitar has 22 thin for some good action frets, Rosewood Fingerboard which feels like it could snap but its alright. Because this is a Strat copy the guitar is quite solid but does feel like its made out of plastic. I got this guitar in a pack with a 10wat amp, a strap, some picks, spare strings, a DVD lesson and a Yamaha tuner. The guitar aso has 5 pick ups with a five way pickup selector master tone and master volume.
