Vintage rock & dance music, modern country - it suits just fine. It is NOT a metal machine by any stretch.
It has wonderful, round clean tone and begins to snarl around 3 or 4 on the Vol knob. It is a VERY loud 35 watts, if need be.
The Roughneck is a 6 watt, class a, tube practice amp with two inputs, and a single volume control only.
