Line 6 Spider IV 120 watt modeling amp. Has hundreds of pre set sounds perfect for any guitarist. Many tonal features so you can find your sound without any problems. It's solidly built with Celestion speakers and protected with a rubber binding at the corners. Clear led screen to see all the pre loaded features. Complete with a handle for easy transportation. Its a black and grey colour scheme which looks both great but stylish at the same time. The features of clean to rock to metal are a great touch. Really impressed with what's on offer here. Excellent value for money.

Sound — 10
Holds hundreds of sounds you'll find many you like guaranteed. Packs a punch volume wise with so much variety. I play with EMGs and gives a solid deep bass sound which actually blows me away with how versatile the amp is. From metal to punk to classic rock the Line 6 has it covered. Until you've actually played one please don't judge you'll be pleasantly surprised. The tones available are very varied and versatile for all genres. The sounds available are both quantity & quality a very rare duo indeed.

Reliability & Durability — 9
Solidly built with soft rubber protection. Knobs could be better as a metal chrome but that's just cosmetic. Has a strap for easier transportation. As for gigging I cannot comment however I don't see any reason why this rig could be out up with any amp you own. The 120 watt or 150 watt versions will suffice for small gigs as the sound is very very load. 30 watt is more than enough for any bedroom. The finish on the amp along with the Celestion speakers would withstand many gigs IMO. Its definitely good enough to last and dependable.

Overall Impression — 10
I solely play for fun in my bedroom, I can't comment on gigging the spider but there's one thing I can assure you no other amp comes close to the features on offer of the Spider IV. It's received a lot of unfair comments on UG I think that's down to change. People can't embrace change nor come around to the fact a digital amp can mimic classic sounds\amps and mimic them flawlessly. IMO the amp really deserves a 10/10. You really all should stop moaning and be thankful there's an amp like this without costing the earth!
