I play an Ibanez RG with EMG pickups through it and it sounds incredible. I play in a progressive death metal band and it works wonders for me. On most guitar amps, when you turn your guitar volume all the down you can hear a lot of "air" coming through your speakers. That's not the case with the Divinity 2. It's allmost silent. The Divinity 2 can handle anything from country to the most brutal metal and everything in between.

Overall Impression — 9
I play in a progressive death metal band, but in my free time I play pretty much everything and it suits all of my needs. I'v been playing about 12 yrs now. I own several Ibanez guitars, a 1979 Dean Flying V, a Peavey XXX, and 2 Vader cabs (1 4x12 and 1 2x12). If it were ever stolen or lost I would definatly buy another one. Before I bought it I checked out Mesa's, Marshalls, and plenty of others. For the price, you can't beat it.

Reliability & Durability — 10
I've played countless shows and practices with it and never had a backup. I've never had a problem with it, and it still has the original tubes. I bought a road case for it, so as far a durability goes I can't really say. It's been dropped once, while in the road case, and it's still in perfect condition.

The Madison Divinity 2 is a 120w tubed guitar amplifier. It has two channels, clean and dirty (distorion). The Clean channel has a tube boost option, which creates a little overdrive. You can get some really great blues sounds and soft rock sounds out of it. With out the tube boost on the clean channel is crystal clear and it stays that way even with the volume to the max. The dirty channel also has two different settings. Dirty 1, and dirty 2. Dirty 1 has more mids, which makes it great for solo's. The dirty 2 setting scoops the mids, and is great for rythm. So really it's like the Divinity 2 has 4 channels. I do wish the dirty channel had more gain, however, when you push the volume a little more it sounds perfect. It does get really hot really fast. So I bought a computer fan and installed it. Also, I wish the reverb was a little more lush for solos.

It says at the top that it's a hybrid built amp, and that is incorrect. It is 100% tubed.
