Sound — 9
Despite the lack of notable features, this amp puts out amazing tone. I've owned numerous amps and none have had the sound quality as this, it can be cranked to give you a crunchy solid classic distortion, and can also clean up pretty nicely. So unless you plan on using this for metal, there's no genre this amp can't hit. For advice, volume 7 is the sweet spot, and keep the bass nob rolled all the way down for best tone (the amp is very bassy as is).

Overall Impression — 9
Overall, the amp is a keeper. It gives me the sound I'm looking for in a smaller package, although don't let it's 5 watts fool you, it gets very loud. So go get one asap! You won't regret it!

Reliability & Durability — 8
Although having for only a short time, I've found this amp to be very well made and tough. It is a Marshall after all.

Features — 7
The Marshall Class 5 is a one channel all tube class A amplifier. It only has volume, bass, mid, and high, and a line out and headphone jack. The amp comes equipped with a El84 power tube delivering 5 watts, and also has a 10in speaker designed for the amp.
