I use a Strat copy with an SD JB humbucker (bridge position) through this amp. It's pretty okay, but you get little buzz with the volume up on either channel, but even more with the OD with the gain maxed out. The contour/tone knob's very limited. The distortion's pretty good as long as you don't leave it on without playing, unless you enjoy annoying buzzing noises. It's good for practicig alone in your room, I guess.

I've been playing for well over a year, and I usually play punk and screamo. I'd say it could have offered a bit more, say, reverb, and a bit more tone controls, (e.g. bass, mids, treble) but you only get your money's worth. And I suppose that's what they made the MG15CDR for. I'd definately shell out for a better amp with more power if this were lost or stolen. Great amp for beginners.
