Sound — 10
It makes a 100 bucks guitar sound like 1000. The distortion on it is sweet. There are about a dozen types of distortion, each sound you can change the tone using the knobs. The effects are not too shabby either. The middle stompbox is the main effects unit. The third stompbox is for delay. The expression pedal is slightly disappointing, but it's no big problem. You can get any sound you want from it as long as you have an experienced ear. None of the effects are poor quality, apart from some on the expression pedal. The sound definitely lives up to the brand name.

Overall Impression — 10
This pedal is for any type of music. It's suitable for everyone, but I don't think it's for beginners. It's for intermediate guitar players and up, as it doesn't rely on patches, although the manual shows a list of patches you can use.

Reliability & Durability — 10
It's built like a tank. It's case is made out of solid metal with a cool blue chrome finish which I personally like. The pedals and the stomp boxes themselves are extremely durable and shouldn't break. It's amazingly tough. Boss have done a great job on the durability.

Ease of Use — 10
It's multi-effects pedal at it's simplest. It is unbelievably easy to operate and everything is set out logically. You really don't need to read the manual. You can operate it straight out of the box without any hassle. The best thing about it is the COSM modelling technology. You can get so much freedom over your sound. Everything about it is simple and easy!
