Danelectro: DJ-2 T-Bone Distortion

Sound — 4
It's strange, on my smaller practice amps (a Crate and a Johnson) the distortion sounds horride. It doesn't have any real type of metal, it's just like someone too your amp, and added lots of buzzing noises. However, on my larger Peavey Basic 40, it has a bit more shape to the distortion. Still doesn't really have much to offer though.

Overall Impression — 4
Horrible sound, though simplistic. I'd only recommend it to beginning guitarists who don't have loads to spend on other distortion effects pedals. Of course, you can get a Boss cheaper than this particular pedal.

Reliability & Durability — 8
I've had it for about 2 years now, it's not really worth anything as far as sound, but it's not change or worn over time. I did manage to snap off the distortion knob, but it snapped right back on.

Ease of Use — 8
It's very simple to use, with only two options of turning. It's not likely you'll get much change in sounds, but it's simplistic.
