Ease of Use: Moonshine Slides are created from high-fired porcelain that is formulated to absorb tonal distortion within the slide. The resulting tones are richer yet still bright. How? The porcelain body of a ceramic guitar slide absorbs distortion, while the microscopic holes within the clay resonate, producing a pure fluid tone. The hard glaze of these slides has a quiet attraction for the strings. This produces a fast response with minimum dampening, and crystal clear tones. The Moonshine Slide is warmer than glass. Made from a white porcelain body and glazed with cobalta round, fluid tone reminiscent of a tube amp is the result.
Just learning about the use of slides, this slide has a great sound. I listened to metal and even glass and out of the Three the Ceramic Slide produces the more quality tone one expects. Its distortion is good, and it has less of that vibration tingling metal or glass produces on the strings, thus the tones are clearer and better sounding. Its easy to use and sounds great. // 10
Sound: It has less the vibrational tingling sounds that the metal and glass slides produce so the sound quality is far greater and smoother. The Tones produced are exceptional and very appealing.
Still learning, but with this small piece of equipment, the sounds produced are very exceptional. // 10
Reliability & Durability: Unlike glass slides that can break or the metal slide that can become tarnished and worn the ceramic slide is higher in quality and is glazed for longer life and the sounds and tones it produces are clearer.
I am still learning, but yeah I would use it to play for others no doubt, when I am good enough ( Still learning). // 10
Overall Impression: I play all styles of music, I like blues, Christian and classic Rock the most... But I will try anything and am willing to learnb what I don't know.
I compared the Ceramic Slide to the metal and glass slides... This Moonshine Ceramic Slide produced a clearer more appealing tone than the metal or the glass. And with Both the metal and glass the tingling sound they produced on the strings while playing wasn't very good and left a lasting vibration sound that took away from the tone whereas the Ceramic slide didn't have that tingling sound left behind and the tones where more clearer and appealing. // 10
