Ease of Use: Basically every sound you can get out of this pedal is good so ease of use is not really an issue. The switches are subtle, yet audible and musical. Any Overdrive could be substituted on a pedal board with the Green Line with satisfactory results and minimal headache. // 10

Sound: The Green Line is a really nice Overdrive pedal for any guitarist looking for that classic tubescreamer sound with some more versatility and character. The Green Line has a moderate but full sounding gain and is actually far more transparent than any Tubescreamer I've heard. At high gain settings the pedal starts to take on a more fuzzy characteristic. On the Vintage mode with the tone pulled back you can achieve some nice almost-fuzz as you crank the gain. Cool! In my opinion the Green Line serves best as a gain boost for a tube amp. it's transparent nature works well when you run an amp a little hot then stomp on the Green Line for extra fur. It also works well on a clean setting with the gain running really low to push your clean tone a little more in the mix if necessary. An Overdrive pedal of this nature is either limited or flattered by the amp you are running it into. If you're pushing a nice tube amp this pedal is definitely worth checking out for some extra amp juice. // 8

Reliability & Durability: Since SPF is a boutique pedal builder you can expect the overall quality of the product to be road worthy and solid. I would definitely feel confident about mounting the Green Line on my pedal board for gig time. The casing and knobs are all solid and tight, the switches seem to be up to par as well. // 9

Overall Impression: The SPF Green Line is a standard boutique Overdrive box reminiscent of the Ibanez Tubescreamer. This pedal is equipped with 2 toggle switches for more Overdrive versatility and gain. The standard knobs are there: Level, Tone, and Gain with a nice Mud Switch for adding some subtle bass response. The Green Line OD also features a Vintage or MODERN Switch adding some brightness and growl when in the MODERN stage. The SPF Green Line Overdrive is a fine Overdrive pedal with some really nice extra features. The overall quality of the pedal is great, the tone is clear and dynamic, and most of all it does a great job at preserving your guitar's true tone and the player's subtleties. // 7
