This pedal has become my staple for Tubescreamer tones. Wampler has succeeded again in what I believe their forte is - combining excellent overdrive with EQ's that mesh seamlessly with amplifiers.
All Wampler Pedals 9 Models
Although Wampler has marketed this pedal as a fire breathing gain machine, I'm adopting it as a versatile solution for many tones.
This Compressor really brings out all that you always wanted your guitar to give! This is mostly noticeble on a clean sound.
This pedal as good as any I have heard and has a permanent place on my pedal board. No manual needed as it's pretty straight forward!
For blues and rock this Brent Mason signature pedal is incredible. If you want some proper high gain then this isn't for you, but for a classic plexi kind of valve sound then this is definitely worth the investment.
The Plexi-Drive captures the "JTM" era crunch that guitarists lust after. This pedal is great for anything one would use a plexi for - blues, classic rock, country, and other styles.
Bottom line here is, this pedal is HOT HOT hot! It truly delivers that Marshall stack tone. It screams when cranked and cleans up surprisingly well with the guitars volume rolled off. If you love playing with your volume knob to tweak tone, you'll love the results you get from this pedal.
The Sovereign is very easy to use and get great tones out of. It's not your average three knob distortion.
I honestly think my search for the ultimate distortion pedal is over. It's a fun pedal to tweak on because the controls are so responsive, and you can get an awesome sound very minimal effort. It's a little pricey new, with a tag of $269, but it's worth it.
