Atreyu: USA (Washington), March 1, 2005
The audience was going crazy for Atreyu. Atreyu was the headliner and their sound showed it. The crowd sang every word and it was a great way to end a set.

Sound: The tour was comprised of Scards Of Tomorrow, Norma Jean, Unearth and Atreyu. Scars Of Tomorrow led off with a good set for an opening band. The sound was good and you could really hear each of the guitar players riffs and the bass player clearly. The singer used most of his time onstage to scream but it was rather clear and their sound was pretty good overall. Next was Norma Jean. They were very loud and energetic but most of their songs just seemed "muddy." Every guitar riff and bass lick were bleeding into each other. The only person you could really hear clearly was the singer. Unearth had great sound. Their rhythm section was amazing and crysal clear. The lead guitar player had plents of chances to showcase his talent and the sound form their guitars were excellent. Atreyu was the headliner and their sound showed it. The rhythm section was great and both guitar tones were very clear when they needed to be and very distorted and full of gain when they had to be. Both the singer and drummer's mics were loud enough to hear everything they were screaming/singing. // 10

Perfomance: The audience was going crazy for Atreyu. The chant for them to come out started after the first act. And after Unearth people wanted Atreyu and they wanted them right then. The opened up with the intro from The Curse that flows right into "Bleeding Mascarsa." The pit could barely be contained during that song. Then came "Deanna The Arsonist" followed by the crowd favorite "Right Side Of The Bed." The set was then comprised of a mix of old and new songs, "Someone's Standing On My Chest," "The Rememberence Ballad," "The Crimson," "Corseting," "Aint Love Grand" and "Lip Gloss And Black" were all played. Their wasn't one song that didn't get the crowd going. After their last song the "one more song" chant started. And they gave us exactley that. They came out with an amazing cover of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name." The crowd sang every word and it was a great way to end a set. // 10

Overall Impression: The gig was at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, USA. Scars Of Tomorrow, Norma Jean and Unearth were the openers for Atreyu. Everyone's sound was good except Norma Jean's but their live show made up for what the sound was lacking. The pit got a little out of control and times and it would have been nice to be able to watch the show from a little closer but I guess thats what you get for going to a metal show. The tickets were cheap, only 15 dollars for four bands. The best moment was when Atreyu came out to their intro that led right into "Bleeding Mascara." The energy in the room was amazing. Every person there screamed and sang every word to that song. Also the cover of Bon Jovi was a cool, fun way to end a great set. I have been to a pretty good number of concerts and this was hands down the best. // 10
