Darkness: USA (Houston), April 11th, 2004
The whole atmosphere of the show was just great, and even if you aren't much of a fan of The Darkness, it's still a great show to go too.

Sound: I've been to pleanty concerts before, the Darkness show was the first show i ever left with my jaw on the floor. It sounded great, the guitarists used les pauls and one guitarist used three marshall stacks and justin used 2 mesa boogies. Justin, to my suprise, nailed aaaalllll of the high notes and made the crowd go wild. // 10

Perfomance: They started the show off with an instrumental, during which Justin tagged his fellow guitarist off whenever they would switch of doing solos. Then followed songs like "Black shuck" and "Growing on me". After they played "I believe in a thing called love" they left the stage, the crowd (and me) then began chanting....givin up givin up givin up! The band soon returned and played the song requested, then ended with "Love on the rocks". During this song Justin got on the shoulders of one of the guards and made his way around the pit (I got to grab his shoulder). There was nothing really special about the stage, just the rockin musicians on it. Simply put, the crowd LOVED the show and was there to sing along with every song they did. // 10

Overall Impression: The show was located at the Verizon wireless theatre in Houston, Texas on April 11th. The tickets were 15 dollars, an almost unbelievable price for the show they put on. The openers were a band called Wild Hearts, which were an ok band but up against the show the Darkness put on, they dont have much of a chance. The show had many great parts to it, Justin gave us a lesson on how to sing the ending of "Get your hands off my woman", a rather large girl in the balcony repeatedly flashed the audience, to which Justin had many comments. The whole atmosphere of the show was just great, and even if you arent much of a fan of them, its still a great show to go too. They should be coming back to Houston in June, so I will not hesitate the least to go to see them again. // 10
