Sound: James LaBrie is a pretty awesome vocalist. He had held those notes that he is known for. It was really good. Although a slight beef was with the mixing, it seemed as if Rudess on keys was somewhat not cutting through, sometimes he was audible but I personally thought he needed be in more. Aside from that, sound was loud and good. Sounded exceptional. // 9

Perfomance: There was lots of crowd reaction. In Montreal, during the show there was a Habs game (NHL Hockey) and LaBrie had said jokingly that the Leafs would beat them. Although he got booed, he did it for fun and at the end of the show, he announced that the Leafs won. The crowd had loved them, loads of singing with the crowd. They played The Root Of All Evil then These Walls. Afterwards they played a song from each album in chronological order. Setlist: 01. Root Of All Evil 02. These Walls 03. Some Majesty Demo Song 04. Afterlife 05. Under A Glass Moon 06. Caught In A Web 06. Raise A Knife, then intermission 07. Then Strage Deja Vu 08. War Inside My Head/Test That Stumped Them All 09. Endless Sacrifice 10. I Walk Beside You 11. Octavarium Encore was Spirit Carries On Then Take The Time. Lighting was awesome, very well done with Mike Portnoy's bass drums being lit and reacting with the playing. // 10

Overall Impression: The show was at Metropolis (they didn't play Metropolis part 1, sadly), in Montreal - March 23/06. There was no opener since it was "An Evening With" concert. The venue was very good, with many people on the floor. For $50 Canadian, the price was beyond worth it. I would go for the next show instantly. Some funny moments were the Habs vs. Maple Leafs thing and that they played Twinkle Little Star in the middle of a song, also the Octavarium cartoon was a good laugh. // 10
