Sound: Foo Fighters' sound tech managed to set up was amazing. Every instrument/singer came through very clearly and made the shreds that Dave Grohl went into stand out well. It was easy to pick up the voices as well and you could actually tell what they were singing. // 9

Perfomance: The NEC was packed, and even though I was half way between the stage and the back wall, I may as well have been at the front of the crowd. They had such a stage presence it was unreal. The lasers worked particuarly well and the video boards they used were well manipulated also. The highlight for me was Dave Grohl jumping off stage into the crowd with his guitar. He then fought his way through 5000 fans (with the aid of 'Security') and then hopped up on an unassuming table that everyone had dismissed by the sound control desk. The crowd went mental as he just went off on a tangent with the other guitarist still on stage. They didn't just come on and play their new album (which is poo by their standards) either which is a trap many bands fall into. Some songs were 10 minutes long as they came back again and again to the melodies that they had most reaction to from the audience. // 9

Overall Impression: IT was at the NEC arena in Birmingham on 11th dec 2005. The openers (Eagles Of Death Metal and The Futureheads) just simply did not do justice to a crowd awaiting the Foo Fighters. Although they might have been better recieved in a smaller venue, they did not have enough presence on stage for me. I paid roughly 50 for my ticket including travel and can safely say it was worth every penny. This band lives for the stage and it is obvious they love what they do. If you get the chance, you have to go! This concert gets an 'L' for legendary, just wish I could go back a week to hear everlong live again, a most excellent gig. // 10
