Sound: To be blunt, Matt Bellamy's voice is simply amazing. Muse sound better live than on the record, in my opinion. As far as instruments, Matt was the only one who played more than one all night. He started with his Red Glitter Manson with the built in Kaoss Pad/MIDI controller. Then he switched to piano for a song or two, then to his Manson with the built in Zvex fuzz factory. I'm not sure what kind of sound equipment and amps the band uses, although I am quite certain Matt uses a Diezel head through Marshall cabs which sound awesome even in a huge arena. // 10

Perfomance: I have never seen a live band able to work their fans up into this much of a frenzy in my entire life. The entire show, nearly every single person (including me) was going crazy, screaming and dancing. One of my favorite parts of the show was during Plug in Baby when 20 or so giant inflatable eyeballs were released to roll down the audience from the top of the arena. Of these, 3 or 4 made it to the stage where Matt proceded to pop them with the headstock of his guitar while he was playing, releasing a shower of confetti each time. The stage was a feat in itself. Instead of a flat stage with a big screen behind, there were 3 towers, which were covered in their own cloth sleeve to look like skyscrapers. The arena got dark and the towers lit up, and it appeared that there were people walking up the stairs. At some point they stopped, stood there, and began to fall off the stairs. Then the curtains that were shielding the towers (which were really just 30 foot tall 3-D screens) dropped, showing Dom on the middle platform, Chris on the right, and Matt on the left. The platforms were raised and lowered for different songs, a few of which had green lasers and strobe lights. // 10

Overall Impression: I saw this show at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan, USA on March 13th, 2010. Silversun Pickups opened for them, which was also a great performance. The best part of the show was the crowd. For me, if the crowd is lame, the concert is ruined. However, if the crowd is just as excited about the show as you are, it can be one of the greatest shows ever. My tickest were $40.00 each, $52 after service fees. With this steal on tickets, I will most definitely be seeing them next time they are in town. // 10
