Sound: Only my 4th Phish show and I knew it was going to be a good one. Phish has definetly improved alot musically over the 20+ year stint as the greatest live band of recent years. Their were only 2 things wrong with the show: Trey messed up the lyrics to "Cavern" which he always does and the encore they chose to play was too slow after that show. All in all, a great show! // 10

Perfomance: The Piper was the highlight of the evening, clocking in around thirt two minutes. I was ecstatic at that point, as Piper is one of my favorite songs by Phish. Last time I saw them play it, they only played it for 20 minutes, which is still awesome considering that its only about 4 some minutes on their album. It's noted that there is a Tweezer reprise tease during Piper, but its more like tweezer reprise jam for it lasted atleast 4-5 minutes. Even though they did debut "A song I heard the ocen sing" 2 nights earlier, this version put that one to shame. The other new song they play (Scents and Subtle Sounds) was also wwell done. During "Wolfman's Brother", Mike took over and layed down some funky bass jamming that everyone else follow, and Page stepped up on alot of the songs as well. NICU was also a treat, and you can never go wrong with a Reba opener. The only low point, again, was the choice of velvet sea as single encore. Had they gone into something more upbeat after that, it would have been better. // 10

Overall Impression: SPAC, Saratoga Springs, NY, 6/19/04. You don't have to actually see Phish onstage at the show to enjoy it, but you might miss some onstage antics. The venue is one of the nicest venues ive ever seen. It's a shame this is their last tour. // 10
