Sound: Scott Gorham and John Sykes were the Lizzy members with Marco Mendoza (looks like somebody from Aerosmith, that's nothing against him, he is a brilliant bassist) on bass and Micheal Lee on drums (he did an amazing drum solo for about 15 mins, with a big grin on his face). John sang. He was exceptionaly good! This band called Leapold were on before them, very good musicians but singer, oh god! No idea what bass Mendoza was playin but John was rockin a black Les Paul, Scott on a Strat (I think, not too sure) and Micheal on a big Yamaha set of drums. The sound was excellent. Although when I went to bed that night I had a deafing buzzing in my ears! // 10

Perfomance: Leapold left and we were waitin about a half an hour when the stage went black. Then suddenly a huge power chord hit us, and thay went straight into Whiskey In The Jar. Immedeite pit, and so much fun. Everyone there was enjoying themselves and clapping. Every song they did was electrifying. Espically Jailbreak where I have never been a bigger mosh pit! They went through songs like The boys are back in town, Jailbreak, Dont believe a word, Rosalie, Waiting For An Alibi, Do Anything You Want To Do, Chinatown, Killer On The Loose, Cold Sweat, Still In Love With You, Whiskey In The jar, Emerald, Bad Reputation. Are You Ready, Cowboy Song and Warriors. They then left the stage. Then the chant came. Everyone in that buiding started singing the riff from Dancing In The Moonlight! Came back on and rocked the song, they left again but the applause was so much they came back out and did Black Rose. Amazing. 1 special moment was when Philomena took her seat in the balcony! Everyone cheered. Why? Because this is The Late Great Phil Lynott's mam, and it's always great to see her. And she always looks great. // 10

Overall Impression: Would have been nicer if it was in The Point but it was still brilliant. Ireland, Dublin. The Olympia, 12th of April 2006. Leapold were excellent musicians but their singer was annoying. I loved the atmophere and the performance. Not 1 bad thing. Caught a guitar pick so extra special for me. For a small amount of 40 euro, it was dirt cheap for that concert. I will be the first person in their next show. // 10
