Sound: I went to the Wolfmother concert in Houston at the Meridian. THe concert was very good. Andrew's vovals were right up to par. He looks so natural singing. It doesnt't look like he has to strain to sing. They did a reddition of Communication Breakdown and he sounded exactly like Robert Plant! He used so many guitars. His favorite one (the on he played the most) was his Vintage sunburst SG. He also pulled out a couple of semi hollow bodies and even a Strat. The sound and the music was awesome. He had a bunch of cool little solos and the sound wasn't to bad. His voice was perfect the drums werent too over powering and the bas/keyboards added to it. // 10

Perfomance: The audience really went wild when Wolfmother came out and they never stopped rocking. There was a mini mosh pit going on in the middle. They did every song on their record. They opened the set with Dimension, the first song off their album which was really good. Then they went straight into an excellent version of Pyramid. After that, they did Apple Tree, one of their best songs of the night, and Love Train another crowd favorite. After Love Train, they preformed White Unicorn a song that sounds a lot like the intro to Bad Company's Feel Like Making Love. This song really got the energy flowing through out the crowd. Then they did Colossal, which was one of my favorites of the night. They slowed it down, for about a minute, with Where Eagles Have Been. Then they got right back to upbeat with their single Woman. This song created a semi-mosh pit right next to me. Then they did Minds Eye, which featured a great keyboard solo. Minds Eye led into Tales, a good folk like song. It was after this song that they stopped. They had an Encore to much applause and started it out to their other folk like song Vagabond. This song starts out slow but really picks up. Then they did a great rendition of Communication Breakdown by Led Zeppelin. Then the real last song of the night was Joker and the thief. The singer said he would make it worthwhile and worthwhile it was. During the middle of the song he jumped off the stage ran around the room, jumped on the bar, and played some of the song. // 10

Overall Impression: The show was in Houston, Texas, USA on November 28, 2006. They had two opening bands. Silversun Pickups and Dead Medow. BOth band were phenomonal but SSPU were definatley the best. ONe thing I loved about it was that Andrew was really funny during the show. I hated that he never came down to my side of the stage. He always went to the right side and the middle but never the left. THe tickets were about $20 but worth every penny. The most meorable part of the show ws when he got up on the bar and started jamming out. The next time they come to HOuston I will definatley go! // 10
