The Enema of the State CD is Blink's true culmination of wittyness, catchy licks, and just the right amount of dirty down skate-punk/pop-punk. Songs like Aliens Exist, Adams Song, and Dumpweed steal your eardrums for the duration of the Album. A must buy for true blink fans, this CD is the balance between their old immature selves, and their "mature" musician sides. With craftsmanship and a pinch of rudeness, this is a 9 Album, truly a rock a legend.

Lyrics — 8
The lyrics on Enema are simple, but they carry that sharp sting and a bit off humor. They find more "Literate" ways of expressing what Teen Angst truly is. The singing, while not amazing, sticks with you thanks to Mark and Tom's unique voices. The delivery is usually quite good, and even on tracks like Dumpweed, were he practically forces the lyrics out, you can still understand him.

Overall Impression — 9
The Album Enema of the state, while not a masterpiece like Hendrix's Axis:Bold as Love, or any other deep musician, Blink-182 packs a punch worth listening to on this classic Pop/Punk album. If it were stolen, i would go buy this, and all of the other Blink albums.

i find it funny when the guy says that he thinks the drummer is the only reason blink got anywhere he seems not to know that this was the first album that he drummed on.

i didn't know people still used the emo stereotype to describe their definition of crappy music? ha. some "emo" music is damn good besides, back when blink was getting going, people didn't have the musical knowledge/preferences they have today. don't hate.

Also, to the guy who said " listen to whats my age again if you think tom sucks at guitar" well... its not that hard to play honestly. Id say a beginner can play this song within a week or two of first picking up the guitar. all blink 182 is really, really simple to play. Actually all the music in this genre is easy to play. Anyway this album is only good because the songs are catchy even though its plagiarism and inept guitar playing all bundled into a tiny little package in the hopes of making money off you.
if its sooo easy i dont see u up the play in a famous band making millions???.....

DwizzleDizzle, you're right. It was actually the first song I learned to play and i mastered it in a couple of days. having said that, it is kinda hard to nail the intro if you're singing too.

I'd agree if they didn't release "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket." That's like "Enema, Pt. II" with more filler (although the singles were a step forward). This is a solid release though. My favorite would have to either be the self-titled or "Buddha" though. Why no love for "Buddha" from the fans?

eh, blink 182 were sort of good but they died out real fast and became part of the emo trend. hopefully the new one isnt anything like their last album.

Everyone whining "liek th3y arent even teh gud musicians" no one cares because people listening to blink are listening to them for the music talent, they're listening because they like the songs.

What's my age again is one of the easier tracks to play... and love every song, though would say their best is the self titled (2006ish?) - a masterpiece, can't wait for the next one

Wow, way to totally miss all points. So what if the guitar work isn't hard, does it have to be? Sorry if the idea of punk music doesn't work for you. And why wouldn't they want to make money, I mean this is their profession. If you are doing a job, wouldn't you want to be paid for your work? Go back to your elitist corner and pretend you're smart.
