Oh my god. We've got people who don't have pitch and one that doesn't even know what a sodding capo is. F*** me bacwards. Good one mate but come chords need minor tweaks. Just ignore the idiots...
+3   July 20 2006, 09:35 pm by WishUponAStar69 |
good job, unregistered tab person :-). What's up with the people not knowing what a capo is? You guys are morons....
+9   July 30 2006, 06:01 pm by 1h81337 |
jeez hes just asking a little question

a capo is a like a clamp that you put on the fret board. think of it as tuning up to a key (kinda like tuning to Eb or drop d)

i use one because i sing in A, but I only know the G scale chords, so I put the capo on the 2nd fret.
+5   November 22 2006, 11:16 pm by steggz |
great tab, deifnitely 7th fret capo. and a great song as well. a capo is a folk guitarists best friend.

+2   March 15 2007, 09:30 pm by baileymo |
I don't understand why people love this tab so much, there's a lot missing from it. and no i don't just mean because it's not put together. but there are parts of the various riffs missing, the parts here are perfect though, but again missing a bunch
+2   April 3 2007, 06:06 pm by simon1235813 |

hey, i think someone stole this exact tab and placed it under George Harrison music. it has the exact wording and
everything....might wanna check it out.
+8   March 16 2008, 10:07 pm by deerhunter5622 |
alright this might sound confusing but i just went through this tab and played it with the song and i'm gonna break it down a little bit. if the first set of lines=1, second set=2, "here comes the sun part"=3, "lick"=4, "then"=5, "The bridge part..."=6, and "The part leading out..."=7. Confused yet? If i wrote down all of my numbers right, the song should be played in this order: 1-2-3-4-2-2-3-4-5-2-2-3-4-5-2-2-3-4-5-6-6-6-6-6-6-7-2-2-3-4-3-4-4-6. maybe that will help...if it's right
+2   March 16 2008, 10:31 pm by deerhunter5622 |
and end on D..not A7. alright i'm done
+1   May 29 2008, 12:42 am by Ardie12 |
this is a great tab and easy to learn, but what part is the "little darling" lyric, and also i know its 7th fret, but i find its much easier to sing to with the capo at 5
May 29 2008, 04:29 am by Strausser33 |
great tab sounds right on the 7th fret!! great tab just wish it was more neatly written still 5 * in my book
+3   May 29 2008, 04:35 am by Strausser33 |

-3   June 9 2008, 05:21 pm by Master tapper |
You got something wrong here.... or this is just how I play it.
^ ^ _ _ ^ _ ^

^ means downwards emotion on strings

_ means upwards emotrion on strings

Cheers ..
-1   June 15 2008, 11:28 am by Macksme |
ive always thought it was capoed on the 8th it sounds pretty good
-2   June 29 2008, 06:42 pm by guitar don 47 |
tried it .sounds good to me.this way is diffently the best way if your not into barre chords -which some show-or you want a good enough rendition without to many chord changes.
+1   July 24 2008, 06:54 pm by woozy11285 |
all you who say its capoed on the 5th fret has obviously never heard the song, it sounds terrible on the 5th
+2   August 29 2008, 10:58 pm by bolbi6 |
its 7th fret idiots look at George Harrison playing it on youtube.
+1   September 16 2008, 10:34 pm by Paul Dragon |
ok we understand it's capoed on the seventh fret. that's what it says on the tab and that's what like 20 people said in it's 7th fret ok?
good tab though, easy to remember and easy to play
+16   October 8 2008, 04:08 pm by JakeLo |
ok but what's a guitar ?
+1   November 13 2008, 09:54 pm by toiyg |
awesome right on the 7th fret thing. its easy and it sounds good. thats what i like to play
-3   November 14 2008, 10:01 pm by Bl20 |
Hey JakeLo, are you serious man, you obviously don't know what a guitar is LoL.
+3   November 14 2008, 10:03 pm by Bl20 |
Wait, sorry about that comment guys i know that was stupid LoL...
-1   December 7 2008, 04:17 pm by Mondo Generator |
I'm playing with the recording and it's capoed on the 8th. Either George Harrison plays it on the 7th cause he's tuned high or I'm just tuned low.
+1   December 13 2008, 02:47 pm by SongfromBohemia |
Why would anyone think it's capoed on the 5th?
+5   December 21 2008, 09:53 pm by J-Smack |
Look, it's obviously not capoed at all; he just has his guitar tuned up a little over half an octave...and for the YouTube video, someone photoshopped a capo over the guitar. There, problem solved, we don't have to discuss this any longer.
+1   January 20 2009, 02:05 am by natesta100 |
i like the tab. its very easy to understand. well done
+1   May 5 2009, 01:00 am by OOKOOLAYLAY |
ha i played an A and heard this song in my head and then looked it up here. its definitely capoed at the 7th fret, no doubt about it.
great tab!
July 27 2009, 11:18 am by krafty111 |
hey this is a great song i love playing it :D an it is capoed on the 7th so dont worry you got it right ! great job ! the tab is simple yet it sounds great
+4   September 18 2009, 02:44 pm by thosesixguys |
As for the 5th vs 7th fret argument goes, the beatles played this with barre chords back in the day and george harrison plays it with a capo now but since none of us is filling in for the beatles it doesn't really matter where you play it because you're doing a cover so it can be in whatever key you want. Get over yourselves.
+1   September 28 2009, 07:18 pm by ian_ |
Ok everyone, lets all just agree to capo on the 6th fret.
October 13 2009, 05:41 pm by veggiehero |
This might seem like a dumb question, but what do the parenthesis mean?
Are they supposed to just resonate or what?
November 14 2009, 03:57 pm by edwardzk |
This sounds like its in a different tuning on the recording. Is it?
+3   November 26 2009, 08:51 pm by skittles45 |
Too bad I'm a vampire. I can't sing this song. or play it. cuz ya know.. Im a vampire... ya here comes the SUN dosn't work. Still good tab dude.
December 21 2009, 09:29 am by punkyfunkrock |
you people like to argue a lot.....nice tab but its missing a lot.
January 10 2010, 03:16 am by bballgirlsl981 |
It really doesn't sound good at all with any of the capos mentioned above :( great tab though!
+1   March 12 2010, 10:11 pm by jifigz |
AcDC A capo simply changes where the nut of the guitar is. This allows you to play basic chord shapes, in this case A, G, and D, but in a different key. so here the capo takes the song from the key of A to the key of E, if I am not mistaken.
+1   April 25 2010, 04:28 pm by ctwith3 |
He said the 7th fret- enough is enough. If you think it's supposed to be played on the 5th fret, do so. My wife is almost tone deaf, so I could put the capo on anywhere or not and she wouldn't be able to tell which is correct.

FYI: A capo is a toy for your little kids to use for anything they want, it's almost as good as an empty box.

Another FYI: A guitar is that thing with g strings you play the song on (with the capo on whatever fret floats your boat), and lock up real well when your done playing our little kids don't try and get to it with that cool new toy you and I call a capo.

Hopefully my answers above settles all the fighting and we can go back to having a discussion on trying a different chord here and there to share our experiences with each other.

I'll bet George is rolling over in his grave laughing his butt off at some of the comments above.
+2   April 25 2010, 04:33 pm by ctwith3 |
Sorry, I meant 6 strings, not "g" strings
+1   May 1 2010, 11:33 pm by Whyit |
100% positive its 7th fret you haters
+1   June 20 2010, 08:20 am by Stu the legend |
hey let those guys play it on the 5th Fret if they want to. I'm sure in time they will play along with the track and hear their mistake. If they don't, then good luck learning the song anyway.
+1   August 15 2010, 10:46 am by Stroby |

Right after some listening I've worked out the capo issues, if you play along with the track it doesn't sound right which is what people are hearing. It is CAPO 7, but the guitars are not tuned in a standard way you need to sharpen all strings to about +30 CENTS then it sounds nice. Why they did it and kept with it I'm not sure but that's the problem people are having.
September 20 2010, 09:20 pm by beezle424 |
I appreciate seeing something correct. I've been lookin all over. Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!1

March 19 2011, 07:10 pm by bb75 |
This song to play it like the recording should be capoed on the 7th fret. There is no Question I know this for a fact.
June 10 2011, 08:11 pm by ayreon77 |
This is a nice tab, good job, yep 7th fret here too
October 2 2011, 12:37 am by mmaluff |
George does play it with a capo on the 7th fret, but the recording is varispeeded so that the key is slightly above than A major (less than a semitone). That's why it doesn't sound quite right.
November 17 2012, 07:50 pm by rickkz |
Is there someone who still has this tab and could send it to me please?=/
