??? This tune is in G, not D, and the chords for the chorus are all wrong! Look for the live version on YouTube.
Chorus: (In G)
My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God My Savior has ransomed me
Em C G
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Am7 D G
Unending Love, Amazing Grace

if you think you know so much about the song, submit your own chords. this is my version. no matter the chords, it's all about Jesus!

The first half of the chorus is perefct. The second half should be
G, D/F#, Em7, then A

wrong tabs, refusal to correct it... can't honestly rate it high... great song though.
+2   March 5 2008, 09:22 pm by <Guitar4God> |
it's not that i refuse to correct it, because i don't even play it this way anymore. i made these chords when i was in my guitar learning infancy. i now agree that the chords aren't accurate. this was my first chords from scratch. what i was saying earlier, about making your own chords, i was just confused about how people correct others so much and refrain from making their own version of the type. i am not refusing correction because i am stubborn, but because i am lazy. but, if all of you want me to change it so badly, i will

not sure if you'll agree but i found that if u put a capo on 5th fret then it sounds right.. well it does with the recording that i have.. what do u think?

Not a very good tab.l just played it all the way through on e flat and it didn't sound good at all. But good effort though.

I tried it with and without a capo. not quite right, I reccomend this: (no capo btw)

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
was blind but now I see

I'm not being mean, but if you read the thing when you print them out it says
"This file is the author's own work and represents their interpretation..."
That means it doesn't all have to be perfect.
Awesome tab Guitar4God. I like it.

It's decent...chords work on capo 5, and give the ability to lower the key (if needed).

However, he doesn't stick to simple major/minor chord shapes...they work, but you lose much of the tonal color.

Decent...I guess if you're OK with that, it's a good tab.

I'm really not sure why people use capos so much. And why people don't learn to transpose music. Just my two cents. Good tab, though!

I agree with stlcardinals my guitar teacher told me when he was a kid his teacher took his capo and then tought to transpose

The version I listened to was definitely these chords but with capo 3...maybe it was live or something...

spot on very good!

The chord chart is indeed in the key of G, but if you looked at what he wrote aka CAPO 5! Of course it is the correct transpose for Key of D. Also yes, there are some missing chords but overall good.

Thank You so much! Hopefully this will be my first song!

on the second line of the chorus it's an A7 not D/F# and where it says Em it should be an Em7, but other than that, it's a great tab.

I had to tone it down to the 1st fret to even be able to sing so how would i play it?
