About Ultimate-Guitar.Com

How is it started?

Ultimate Guitar Archive was started on October 9th, 1998 by Eugeny Naidenov (aka zappp) - a student of economic faculty of Kaliningrad State University, Russia. The first title of the site was Zappp`s Guitar Archive and it had just a handful amount of guitar tabs by 10 artists ...though it was started just as a home page!

As the site grew, interest to the site from guitar enthusiasts grew as well. In 2002 we've registered ultimate-guitar.com domain name and slowly started to build our own database of guitar and bass tabs. Till 2003 Ultimate-Guitar.Com was nothing more than a public library of over 20,000 tabs. In 2003, we've significantly improved the site with a number of unique (by that period!) features, like user profiles, quite fast and accurate tabs database search and tab favorites. Since that time we've launched Ultimate Guitar Forum which has became one of the coolest things on the site with over 2 million overall messages posted and over 200,000 members registered!

Who we are now?

Currently, Ultimate-Guitar.Com is the fastest growing guitar community on the net -- it's the only guitar website that has gear and cd reviews, music news, guest columns, guitar and bass lessons and tabs in one place! And don't forget about the coolest guitar community of guitarists on the planet!

USE OF THIS LOGO IS EXPRESSLY SUBJECT TO AND CONDITIONED ON YOUR AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACQUIRE OR USE THE ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM LOGO. THE ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM LOGO IS PROTECTED UNDER UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONAL TRADEMARK LAW. USE OF THESE MARKS, OTHER THAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT OR AS OTHERWISE AUTHORIZED BY LAW, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED, MAY CONSTITUTE INFRINGEMENT OF ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM'S PROPRIETARY RIGHTS AND MAY BE ACTIONABLE UNDER RELEVANT CIVIL AND/OR CRIMINAL LAWS.

LICENSE GRANT

ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM hereby grants a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo in accordance with the following guidelines: ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM and its affiliates are and remain the exclusive owners of the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo and trademark(s). By entering into this nonexclusive license, the user does not attain any interest in the logo. ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM reserves the right to alter or amend these guidelines at any time and without notice to the user. Users agree not to use the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo in any manner likely to confuse, mislead, or deceive the public, or to be adverse to the best interests of ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM. Users agree not to use the logo in any offensive manner, including but not limited to, its use on pornographic and/or slanderous Web sites. Users agree that the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo is proprietary to the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM and that the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM maintains all rights, title, and interest thereto including, without limitation, all intellectual property and other proprietary rights. TERMINATION OF LICENSE

ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM may terminate this License Agreement at any time for any reason, at its sole discretion, including but not limited to if users are in breach of any of the terms and conditions of this agreement or for if users violate violation of ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM's guidelines. Upon receipt of written notice of termination from ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM, users will immediately cease any and all further use of the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo.

DISCLAIMER

ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM licenses its logo for use "as is" and makes no warranties, representations or statements, express or implied, with respect to the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo. ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM will not be responsible for any loss or damages of any kind whatsoever sustained by any party, howsoever caused, as regards to use of the ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM logo. This disclaimer shall survive the termination or expiration of this License Agreement.
